  • Backwell’s 2nd Saturday Fairtrade and Repair Café

Backwell’s regular 2nd Saturday Fairtrade Café is on Saturday 14th March at the Parish Hall from 10am-noon. This month, there will be brand new aluminium tables bought for the Hall with a generous grant from the Stancombe Quarry Community Fund (Tarmac). Check out the designer signage they also paid for.

As usual there will be the Coffee Bar, The Fair-Trade stall, the Bulk Buy club, and the Ecover refills stand. By popular request the Repair Café will return and plans to have people who can help with fabric, bikes, toys etc., sharpening tool and knives, and smart phones/computers. Repairs are free but donations are welcome. If you have any skills to offer, please contact sustainablebackwell@gmail.com.

There is also a swap stall for any good quality items you have finished with and would like someone else to benefit from, or maybe you will find something there you need. If you are a community to charity group which would like to publicise its work, have a stall or hold an event at a future 2nd Saturday, please contact bill.charnock@btinternet.com.
